It is especially important for you to ensure you receive this information if you live in or are a community stakeholder in Chicago Heights, Park Forest, or Sauk Village.

Empowered People Church is a ministry of Kingdom Church International, a non-profit 501(c)(3) faith-based organization that has been doing work in our community for almost two decades. We have also just taken on the newly appointed role by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) as the Violence Prevention Council Coordinator (VPCC) for the Chicago Heights Cluster (Chicago Heights, Park Forest, and Sauk Village) under the Illinois Office of Firearm Violence Prevention (OFVP). It is our job to encourage effective, collaborative working relationships across providers in areas like violence prevention, mental health, and youth development. This is an effort to build consensus around community priorities and resource needs related to reducing firearm violence and increasing public safety.
